The Palomino horse is an American light horse and is not a breed but a color type. The Palomino has a golden; creamy tan; with an almost white mane and tail. White stripes on the face and lower legs are common as well. This coloring occurs in several breeds of light horses with Quarter Horses taking up about 50%. The Palomina gains it name from the Royal family in Spain; Palomina. The Schleich Palomino Horse is based on nature and is highly detailed and hand-painted.
